伺服閥引起的空難事故
1991年3月3日,聯(lián)合航空585號(hào)班機(jī)為波音737-291型客機(jī),從丹佛機(jī)場(chǎng)前往科羅拉多泉機(jī)場(chǎng)途中,飛機(jī)垂直尾翼的方向舵突然不受控制轉(zhuǎn)向右面,繼而翻滾,之后直墜地面,機(jī)上20名乘客和5名機(jī)組人員全部遇難。
1994年9月7日,全美航空427號(hào)班機(jī)為波音737-300型客機(jī),從芝加哥奧黑爾機(jī)場(chǎng)前往匹茲堡機(jī)場(chǎng)途中,突然不受控制轉(zhuǎn)向,繼而翻滾,之后直墜地面,機(jī)上127名乘客和5名機(jī)組人員全部遇難。它的墜機(jī)方式與聯(lián)合航空585號(hào)班機(jī)與東風(fēng)航空517號(hào)很相似。其后發(fā)現(xiàn)原來波音737客機(jī)的方向舵液壓器在溫差很大時(shí)(30,000呎的-50度到地面的30度,同時(shí)加入高溫液壓液體時(shí))會(huì)卡住,并且會(huì)導(dǎo)致飛行員給方向盤控制后由反向偏轉(zhuǎn)的嚴(yán)重后果。這種故障不會(huì)有磨損過的痕跡,也是NTSB(National Transportation Safety Board)有史以來調(diào)查時(shí)間zui長(zhǎng)的一系列空難事故之一。這是波音737自運(yùn)行以來發(fā)現(xiàn)的zui大的致命設(shè)計(jì)錯(cuò)誤(國(guó)家地理《空中浩劫》中S04E04中詳述)。
1996年6月9日,東風(fēng)航空517號(hào)班機(jī)于準(zhǔn)備降落在里奇蒙機(jī)場(chǎng)時(shí),飛機(jī)突然發(fā)生故障,所幸只有一名空中服務(wù)員受輕傷。飛機(jī)亦成功降落。
